These awards, bestowed annually, honor DCO early career scientists for distinguished performance and unique potential as leaders of the deep carbon science community. Award recipients will receive a certificate and a slab of carbonated Oman ophiolite in a beautiful display box, and will be highlighted on the DCO website.
The DCO seeks to stimulate leadership of the deep carbon science community by early career scientists of outstanding promise.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. The award is open to early career scientists from all countries. Nominations must be submitted via this online nomination form. Please note that the candidate's 2-3 page CV is required. Multiple nominations are allowed.
A selection committee, appointed by the chair of the DCO Executive Committee, will review nominations and select candidates.
